^5LAZERZONE
^4[5by Steve Bennett.[0
^6 Charge up yor lazerguns and get ready to fire!
^6 This game requires quick reflexes and a decent joystick, I'd settle
^6for one of them!
^6 There is a choice of one or two players, in the two player game,
^6player one controls the bottom gun, and player two the wall gun.
^6 The aim is to shoot the baddies before they get to blast you. Your
^6lazers are mounted on two tracks, one vertical, one horizontal. You
^6earn credits, and these are used to buy better weapons. There are
^6many extra features to this game, read all about them in the game
^6docs. Each one can move independently, but they fire simultaneously.
^6 The game is very well presented with atmospheric graphics, and
^6excellent sound samples. Steve has supplied Déjà Vu's P.D. Library
^6with several disks of Samples in the past, so there can be no excuse
^6for bad sounds in his programs!

^5FORMULA 1 CHALLENGE
^4[5by Steven Rennocks.[0
^6 This is a very well presented game. It's not an arcade type racing
^6game, so put down your joystick! It's a manager style program where
^6you choose your team, and all the other things you need to get a
^6world class team together.
^6 There are plenty of options available, and the program is quite easy
^6to use. There are full instructions on the disk which, if you are
^6going to get the most from this game, are worth studying. The
^6graphic displays are very good, the main options screen is
^6exceptionally clear.
^6 The races can be viewed a lap at a time, with the cars speeding
^6across the screen, with a report on any events such as crashes, or
^6very thoughtfully an option to skip through the laps to get onto the
^6next race. All types of reports can be called up, from a table of
^6drivers progress, to each manufacturer's success rate.
^6 This game is well worth a look at if you are a fan of this type of
^6game. (see review section for more!)

^5MUSIC BOX
^4[5by Colin Naylor.[0
^6 Here's a disk that will let you have fun with music on the Amiga even
^6if you've no musical talent.
^6 There is a section which tells you a bit about music, excellently set
^6out, and easy to understand. You are also given a guide to using the
^6Music Box, again very nicely presented.
^6 The program itself is easy to use, it is controlled with the mouse, a
^6click on the buttons is all that is needed.
^6 You are allowed to choose the mix of 4 instruments used out of 15
^6available, and listen before deciding what you'd like.
^6 You choose your note and click to place it on the music score. You
^6can change speed, time signature, length of note, you can play your
^6tune or load one of the many samples on the disk.
^6 This will be a very good program to teach the basics of music, the
^6theory and the practical.

^5MAGPIES CLIP ART
^4[5by The Magpies.[0
^6 This disk was mentioned in the last issue, but not to create a gap,
^6here's a brief mention again.
^6 This disk contains over 300 clipart images never before seen on
^6disk! The disk is auto loadable, with a menu selecter to view each
^6page. Included are animals, elves, heads, humans, cricket, soccer etc.
^6 A must for clipart collectors.

^5DIRTY CASH
^4[5by Matt West.[0
^6 This is the very best fruit machine game ever!!
^6 It is true commercial quality and if Matt hadn't said so in the
^6intro, you'd argue that it had been written in AMOS.
^6 The graphics are superb, no detail has been spared. There are loads
^6of special features and the sounds are just like the real thing. You
^6can choose how much you want to spend (lose, that is) thus
^6detirmining the length of the game. The maximum is £10.00p, and it
^6costs 20p a turn. The whole atmosphere of this program is authentic,
^6even the addictiveness is there, but thankfully, it's cheaper than the
^6real thing! A must for any collection.

^5SPARX'S STOCKING FILLERS
^4[5by Sparx.[0
^6 Happy Christmas! By the time you read this, the festive season will
^6be a lot nearer. This collection of 3 games is another 'Just for
^6Fun' disk, written with the same intention as 'Flower Power".
^6 You get a Yuletide Thingamajig, called Chrismajig, with 6 puzzles to
^6do and/or colour in. Next is "Santa's Sleigh Ride' which is a
^6sideways scroller where you control Santa's Sleigh as he delivers
^6your presents. Beware, if the lights are on in the houses, he cannot
^6deliver a parcel, there are mischievous robins and goblins as well.
^6The last part is a pairs game, match the Christmas cards to finish
^6the game.
^2LPD 49.
^5MARVIN THE MARTIAN.
^4[5by Sparx and Mazza.[0
^6 At last Marvin The Martian makes his entry onto Déjà Vu's range.
^6This game was designed by Melanie `Mazza' Tucker, and coded by Sparx.
^6 Due to problems with the Compiler, this program has been on ice for
^6the last few months during which time both Aaron Fothergill & Peter
^6Hickman have helped trace the root of the problems.
^6 Any how, back to the game!
^6 Marvin's girlfriend Meryl has been kidnapped. Marvin has to rescue
^6her, but to do that he has to get through 15 mazes gathering
^6treasures and avoiding the beasties. The mazes get bigger as you get
^6nearer you get to Meryl, and there are more items to collect.
^6 There is a password at the end of each level, so you don't have to
^6start from scratch every time.
^6 This is Number 3 in Sparx's `Just for Fun' series and is again aimed
^6at younger game players, although adults can play if they want!
^6 Marvin will be the star of a new book which we have been asked to
^6write called AMOS MADE EASY. It will be all about how the game was
^6written from idea to testing and should be available next March or
^6April. There isn't a lot we can tell you at present, but look out in
^6the next issue of TOTALLY AMOS to see how things are progressing.

^5MAGPIES CLIPART Disk 2.
^4[5by The Magpies.[0
^6 This is the second collection of new clipart collected by the
^6Magpies for Dèjà Vu Software. There are over 160 images, all of
^6which have never been put onto disk before. There are less clips
^6than on the first disk because there are bigger images on the
^6screens. Subjects include sport, people, animals, Egyptian statues,
^6kids, fishing etc.
^6 The disk has its own selecter, so you can view the files straight
^6away.
^2LPD 51.
^5MAGICAL YOUNG ARTIST.
^4[5by Daisy Software.[0
^6 If your kids like painting, but you are fed up of water pots being
^6tipped over, then load this disk and let their imagination get to
^6work.
^6 There are thirty stencils on the disk to be coloured in in a choice
^6of 13 colours. The colours are displayed as paint pots at the top of
^6the screen and all you have to do is click on one with your paint
^6brush (aka mouse pointer) and click on the part of the screen that
^6you want to paint. If you make a mistake, you can OOPS it away or
^6just paint over it in another colour.
^6 The pictures are brought onto the screen in a random order and if
^6you have a favourite, then keep selecting 'Next' until it appears.
^6You can clean up the whole picture and start again by clicking on the
^6'Clear' button.
^6 The pictures are all original by Tony Foulkes, and the program is by
^6Paul Burkey.
^2LPD 52.
^5LC200/24 FONTS.
^4[5by Jeff Tullin.[0
^6 Jeff has produced a version of his LC10 fonts program especially for
^6the LC200 24 pin printer owners. Now you too can download new fonts
^6to your printer.
^6 Any chance of the same for the Canon BJ10-e Bubblejet? (HINT!)
^2LPD 53.
